Tokyo Olympics opening ceremony uses classic JRPG music, including Final Fantasy

Did anyone else see that Olympics used Final Fantasy, Nier, DragonQuest, Sonic the Hedgehog, Kingdom Hearts, Tales, Chrono Trigger, and a bunch of other great older games for the medley of music for the opening ceremony?? Sick!

For me, I'd say I'm in the half-ish range. I try to always finish the games I start, but sometimes I'll start playing a game and realize I'm not very into it. What about you guys?

Mobile Gaming

Mobile gaming lends itself well to daily investment given that so many mobile games employ systems that encourage you to come back at least daily (if not every few hours).

What mobile games are your time-sucks?

I pretty much live & breath MS's Solitaire Collection. I play the daily challenges every morning to get my mind going, and also play frequently when I'm waiting for something. Freecell and Spider are my jams, and even did an April Fools joke on my YT channel when I first started producing game guides.

Only other mobile game that has really captured me would be Fallout Shelter, but like most mobile games it gets old in the late-game.

Finally organized my guides on GGN

Took me long enough, but I finally created a guide index outside the standard WP archives, so now guides for any game where I invest any significant amount of time in are available here: https://ghostgamer.news/game-guides/

Current games I've got guides for: SGW Contracts 2, Ghost Recon Breakpoint, Cyberpunk 2077 and Ghost of Tsushima. The last 2 have minimal guides (just because they get so much coverage already that there's nothing new to contribute), but SGW Contracts 2 and GRBP are focal games.

What poor quality game did you enjoy as a kid?

What's a game you loved as a kid that you no longer vouch for or no longer can stand to play? Mine was Pilotwings for my SNES. It was a pretty miserable game. Just listen to that intro music tho. But as a kid, I went back to it time and time again. I never even KIND of succeeded at that game. What poor quality game did you love playing?

Playing Pokemon (not just trading)

I had only played Pokemon a time or two growing up, most of the appeal was trading cards. I recently started learning how to play and wow is it a complex game! I would love any advice or stories about playing because I am certainly making some stories of my own!
